Work experience with BESydney


Business Events Sydney (BESydney) offers hospitality and tourism students the opportunity to gain work experience and make important industry contacts. Work experience students gain exposure to a variety of areas in business tourism.


Positions are available for one day a week for up to 12 months and are available in the following departments and roles:


Marketing Services

  

  • Newsletter production 
  • Database management 
  • Collateral distribution 
  • Copywriting and proofing 
  • General administration 
  • Data entry and analysis 
  • Website content production
  • Online marketing activities


Strategic Alliances

 

  • Membership seminars and events
  • Membership and marketing collateral 
  • Database administration 
  • Prospecting potential meeting and event organisations 
  • Tracking membership statistics

 

Sales

 

  • Research tasks 
  • Competitor analysis 
  • Assisting with bids 
  • Telemarketing 
  • Database management 
  • VIP visit coordination support 
  • Tradeshow coordination support 
  • General administration tasks
  • General support to the sales bid team
