Department stores are full of decorations, the heat is on the rise and our beautiful city is filled with holiday-makers. Yes, it’s summer. Christmas is just around the corner, and it’s a wonderful time to be in Sydney.
I bring you season's greetings and a joyful summer from all of us here at Business Events Sydney(BESydney). Times have been tough, but we are looking forward to an exciting New Year.
And with the warmer months comes Vivacity, an exciting suite of artistic, sporting and cultural festivals scheduled for December, January and February.
Meanwhile, we've been busy developing a strategic new direct marketing campaign to boost business. And we're preparing for Sydney’s biggest stand ever at AIME in 2009. See you there!
Kind regards,
Jon Hutchison AM
Managing Director, BESydney
BESydney is gearing up for its best promotion yet at the 17th AIME showcase in Melbourne in 2009. AIME is a market leader for showcasing the best in destinations, products and services.
It took eight months; input from event planners, industry specialists and stakeholders; world class technology and sleepless nights for BESydney’s marketing team, but we are proud to launch our new website.
There has literally never been a better time to host a business event in Sydney. Imagine including one of Sydney's dynamic events into your conference or incentive program. With a calendar of events including the Socceroos' 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, the Movie Extra Tropfest or the Mazda Opera in the Domain - Sydney will deliver.
Riding this trend, BESydney’s free event planning service, AccessNSW, has launched a new campaign called ‘BE in Sydney in 2009’. As part of the campaign, anyone submitting a Request for Proposal to hold a residential conference in Sydney may be eligible to win major prizes.
BESydney works beside Tourism Australia to host members of the Taiwan media, while an AccessNSW client event enables members and clients to meet and network.
Sydney is ‘best city in the world’, and our members win a swathe of awards, while the Property Council explores the 2009 tourism outlook.
Sydney will come alive with Vivacity in summer, a spectacular calendar of festivals, sporting events, shows, concerts, outdoor activities and fun.
