Business Events Sydney (BESydney) bids to host meetings and congresses in Sydney. We help with conference bidding, provide free assistance and non-biased advice to anyone considering or planning an event or incentive in New South Wales (NSW), and are responsible for marketing Sydney and NSW as a leading business events destination.

Event bidding

BESydney helps organisations bid for and win the right to host national and international events in Sydney and NSW. We provide the following free services and products to help each organisation win its bid:

• We tailor a bid strategy to suit the specific conference and its criteria
• We source funding to support both the bid and the event if won (where applicable)
• We research opportunities to improve Sydney’s chances of winning the bid
• We host site inspections for international conference organisers
• We provide marketing and media assistance after the bid is won
• We help the association appoint a professional conference organiser

Event support

BESydney provides support to major events planned for Sydney and NSW, including help finding suppliers and venues, and marketing initiatives to boost attendance. After a bid to host a major congress has been won, we provide the following services:

• We guide the association as it plans its event
• We help the association appoint a professional conference organiser
• We assist with marketing activities and collateral
• We promote the event in the media

Event planning

BESydney helps organisations plan their meetings, conferences, exhibitions, incentives and corporate events in Sydney and NSW. Our event-planning team, AccessNSW, can plan your next conference, meeting, corporate party or team-building event for free:

• We provide you with a shortlist of suitable venues, chosen according to your needs
• We shortlist suitable suppliers, from caterers to entertainers, equipment hire and transport
• We obtain quotes from all venues and suppliers, in complete confidentiality
• We prepare and submit Request for Proposal (RFP)s on your behalf
• We coordinate site inspections of all your short-listed venues
