Who we are


Business Events Sydney (BESydney) is the official organisation responsible for promoting Sydney and New South Wales (NSW) as a global business meeting and conference destination.


It is our goal to improve business tourism for Sydney, attracting national and international business events to the city, such as:

 

  • International Congress of the Transplantation Society with 4,000 delegates in 2008
  • Pro-Partner Taiwan Incentive with 150 delegates in 2009
  • Lions Clubs International Conference with 25,000 delegates in 2010
  • 11th Asia Pacific Conference on Giftedness with 850 delegates in 2010


Business tourism brings AU$17 billion into the Australian economy each year, and Sydney is an international and national leading business event destination.


BESydney is the natural starting-point for anyone organising a conference, corporate event or incentive, and Sydney is one of the most attractive and best managed cities in the world for such an event.

What we do

  • BESydney helps organisations bid for and win the right to host national and international events in Sydney and NSW
  • BESydney helps businesses plan their meetings, conferences, exhibitions, incentives and corporate events in Sydney and NSW
  • BESydney provides support to major events planned for Sydney and NSW, including help finding suppliers and venues, links to government departments and marketing initiatives to boost attendance


BESydney is a joint not-for-profit venture between the NSW Government, Events New South Wales and more than 250 leading tourism attractions, venues, event suppliers and conference organisers.
