The SCVB is a non-profit organisation with around 270 members, including hotels, restaurants, attractions, venues, entertainment, professional conference organisers and other business tourism suppliers.
Set up in 1969, the SCVB is a joint venture between the New South Wales Government and the tourism industry. The SCVB aims to:

The SCVB employs around 30 staff, operating from a head office in Sydney and an Asian office in Hong Kong. We also have representatives in London and New York to service the UK/Europe and North America markets respectively.
The SCVB's Chairman is Col Hughes and our Managing Director is Jon Hutchison AM. The bureau’s key departments are Sales, Corporate Services, Research, Administration, Marketing and Finance. The SCVB has a support network of major investors.
